BERNARD KESSEDJIAN DIES AT THE AGE OF 64

The former chairperson of the open ended working group that drafted the text of the Convention and current Ambassador to the Holy See died on December 19, 2007 at the age of 64 due to illness. Read news item (in French).

NOVEMBER 26 and 27 NEPAL, KANTIPURONLINE.COM (English)

The Nepalese government has finally relented to immense pressure from national and international rights bodies and decided to introduce a new Act to deal with issues of disappearance. The law should be enacted in compliance with the convention.
