Letter to Peru's President: Promulgation of a Law on the Search for Disappeared Persons
On June 13, 2016, International Coalition Against Enforced Disappearances (ICAED) sent a letter to Peruvian President Ollanta Humala, urging the latter to sign and finally enact the Project No. 5290/2015 - DP Search of Missing Persons, which was proposed by the Office of the Ombudsman and was eventually approved by the Congress of the Government of Peru.
In the interest of truth and justice for all the families and victims of enforced disappearances, the Coalition urges President Humala to enact the law without further delay. Search the missing persons now, end enforced disappearance.
